Bagerhat, Aug 24 (UNB) – The district recorded four new dengue cases in 24 hours until Saturday morning, said Civil Surgeon Dr Shamsuzzaman.
A total of 146 dengue patients were hospitalised since July 27, he said.
Bangladesh has been struggling to control outbreak of the mosquito-borne disease that has taken a serious turn this year. The government has so far confirmed 47 deaths.
According to official data, 61,038 dengue patients were hospitalised, while 54,956 of them were discharged after treatment since January this year.
