A nearly 400-year-old pigeon market in Zinzira of Keraniganj on the outskirts of the capital continues to attract bird lovers and traders, preserving a tradition dating back to the Mughal era, locals said.
Traditionally held twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, the market has gradually expanded beyond its scheduled days, with several permanent bird shops now operating in the surrounding area throughout the week.
