The publisher and editor of Prothom Alo, and the editor of Kishor Alo have been directed to pay Abrar’s family within three days of receiving the notice or face legal action.
Kishor Alo is a publication meant for the young readers of Prothom Alo.
Abrar, a ninth-grader, died after being electrocuted behind the stage at an event organised by Kishor Alo on Friday.
The legal notice also requested secretaries of information, education, power, energy and mineral resources ministries to take necessary measures to ensure safe electricity connections and security system before giving permission for such an event at an educational institution.
