A Dhaka to Abu Dhabi flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Dhaka airport Monday due to technical problems in one of its engines.
All passengers and crew members were safe, airport sources said.
Air Arabia flight 3L-063/064 left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) at 7pm with 151 passengers onboard and landed again at 7:55pm due to a technical glitch, Group Captain Kamrul Islam, executive director (airport security) at HSIA, told UNB.
"Reaching the air space of Jashore, the pilot of the Airbus320 radioed the control tower about a technical problem in one of the engines. The pilot wanted to turn back and make an emergency landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport," he added.
"All passengers are being taken to hotels. Air Arabia informed us that the flight will fly again tomorrow," Group Captain Kamrul said.
