The chairman in his condolence message said, “His death is an irreparable loss to ACC. The Commission lost a honest, skilled, talented and morally enriched officer."
President Abdul Hamid prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed sympathy for his bereaved family members.
Jalal Uddin Mohammad Saifuzzaman, director (administration) of ACC, had tested positive for coronavirus seven days ago and was undergoing treatment at the hospital.
He died today, said Alimuzzamn, administrative officer of the hospital.
He was laid to eternal rest at Azimpur graveyard in the capital on Monday afternoon and buried at the graveyard around 4:10pm.
During his burial, his body was wrapped in protective equipment to prevent transmission
while those attending the burial process were also seen draped in personal protective equipment.
