The Forest Department in coordination with relevant agencies, rescued the elephant and transferred him to the National Zoo.
Since his arrival, veterinarians have been conducting comprehensive health assessments, cleaning and treating his wounds, managing infections and providing nutritional rehabilitation.
The medical team is working to gradually improve his condition, although they say his recovery may take time because of age-related complications.
