AL candidate wins Gaibandha-3 by-election
Awami League candidate Umme Kulsum Smriti.


Awami League candidate Umme Kulsum Smriti won the Gaibandha-3 (Polashbari-Sadullapur) by-polls on Saturday, beating her nearest rival, BNP’s Dr Moinul Hasan Sadik, by a huge margin.

According to unofficial results, Smriti bagged 2,1,482 votes in the constituency consisting two upazilas.

On the other hand, Sadik got only 41,408 votes.
