Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman paid a courtesy visit to President Mohammed Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban on Saturday.

During the meeting, General Waker-Uz-Zaman briefed the President on the overall activities of the Bangladesh Army, highlighting the force’s role in maintaining security and aiding national development.

He also informed the President about various ongoing initiatives and reaffirmed the army’s commitment to supporting the nation’s welfare.

President urges all to stand by flood victims

President Shahabuddin praised the Bangladesh Army’s contribution towards ensuring the safety and well-being of people and safeguarding lives and property.

He appreciated the army’s efforts and stressed the importance of their role in upholding the sovereignty and stability of the country.

The President hoped that the army would continue to stand by the people of Bangladesh during national crises, including natural disasters, and uphold its dedication to the country’s progress and development.

The army chief also informed the President that several units are actively working in coordination with the civil administration across the country to provide assistance in various areas.
