Barrister Kaiser Kamal filed the petitions on behalf of his clients with the High Court bench concerned.
Eight death-row convicts, 22 convicts who got life term imprisonment and 13 people awarded 10 years imprisonment filed the appeal petition.
On July 3, a Pabna court sentenced nine BNP activists to death and jailed 25 others for life in the case. It also sentenced 13 others to 10 years in jail.
A Rajshahi-bound train carrying Sheikh Hasina was attacked at Pakshi Rail Station on September 23, 1994. The attackers fired shots and hurled bombs at the train.
Nazrul Islam, the then officer-in-charge of Ishwardi Railways Police Station, filed the case. Police pressed charges in court against 52 suspects on April 3, 1997.
Five of the accused died during trial proceedings.
On July 14, seven convicts who got life term imprisonment in the case were surrendered before the court while eights others remained absconding.
