A fire that broke out at a colour factory at Amulia Model Town in Banasree area in the capital was brought under control on Monday night after two hours of frantic effort.
“The fire originated at Imperial Pant Color Factory at 8:50pm and was brought under control at 10:50pm,” said Mahfuz Riven, duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence central control room.

Five firefighting units brought the fire under control, he added.
The reason behind the fire could not be known yet, the official said.
