The Embassy of Bangladesh in Seoul, South Korea celebrated Victory Day on December 16, 2022 with due fervour and festivity.
The officials of the embassy and their family members and expatriate Bangladeshis living in the Republic of Korea participated in the event. On this occasion, the Chancery building was decorated with lighting.
The programme began in the morning with the hoisting of the National Flag by Ambassador Delwar Hossain at the embassy premises.
Then, Ambassador Delwar Hossain, in presence of the embassy officials and expatriate Bangladeshis, paid homage to the Father of the Nation by placing floral wreaths in front of a bust inside the Chancery.

The next segment of the programme commenced in the afternoon.
A special prayer was offered for the salvation of the souls of the martyrs and for the continued peace and prosperity of the country.
The embassy officers read out the messages by the President, Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and State Minister for Foreign Affairs.
The embassy organized a discussion session with the participation of the embassy officials and expatriate Bangladeshis.
Ambassador Delwar Hossain then paid a rich tribute to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
He also recalled the supreme sacrifices made by the valiant freedom fighters for the independence of Bangladesh under the leadership of the Father of the Nation.
Highlighting socio-economic progress and development of Bangladesh in recent years, he called upon the expatriate Bangladeshis to devote themselves to fulfilling the dream of building ‘Sonar Bangla’ envisioned by the Father of the Nation.
The Ambassador along with the participants cut a cake to celebrate this occasion.
