Bangladesh and Japan on Thursday reaffirmed their shared commitment to peace, resilience and cooperation.
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) held a memorial ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the Holey Artisan Bakery attack, honouring the memory of the seven Japanese nationals who lost their lives while contributing to Bangladesh’s development, along with all those affected by the attack.
JICA President Dr Tanaka Akihiko attended the ceremony at the Metro Rail Exhibition and Information Centre (MEIC) at Uttara, where representatives from Bangladesh and Japan gathered to pay tribute to the victims, reaffirming their shared commitment to peace, resilience and cooperation.
On this solemn occasion, JICA renewed its commitment to supporting Bangladesh’s sustainable and inclusive development while further strengthening the enduring partnership between Bangladesh and Japan.
