The five-day fair is being held from May 7 to May 11 at the Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall in Kathmandu, bringing together more than 120 exhibitors from different South Asian countries, including Bangladesh.
The event is jointly organised by the Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) and Introduction Trade Shows Nepal. Participation of Bangladeshi companies is being facilitated by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) of Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu.
The fair remains open daily from 10:30am to 6:30pm and entry is free for visitors.
One of the main attractions of the event is the Bangladesh Pavilion, which is the largest international pavilion at the fair with 25 stalls.
A total of 24 Bangladeshi exhibitors are showcasing a wide range of products, including ready-made garments, leather goods, jute products, handicrafts and apparel.
The products on display also reflect Bangladesh’s cultural heritage and traditional craftsmanship, particularly through handmade crafts and jute-based products.
Other highlights of the fair include startup entrepreneurs’ pavilions, investor meet-ups, business-to-business (B2B) meetings and people-to-people networking opportunities.
Organisers expect thousands of buyers and visitors from across South Asia and beyond to visit the Bangladesh Pavilion during the fair.
Bangladeshi business delegates are also expected to participate in networking dinners, B2B sessions and market exploration activities during their stay in Kathmandu.
The Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu is coordinating and facilitating the participation and activities of Bangladeshi exhibitors throughout the event.
