Power plants in Bangladesh have set a new record for electricity generation to meet the growing demand.
The country generated 14,001 MW of electricity at 9pm Thursday, according to the Bangladesh Power Development Board.
The previous highest production of power was 13,792 MW generated on April 27 last year.
The country's installed power generation capacity is over 25,000 MW.
