Bangladesh and the United Kingdom (UK) have exchanged views on the disproportionate impacts of climate change on women and children, the potential for collaboration in climate-related technology and the importance of translating global climate commitments into practical action.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam met with Rachel Kyte, the UK’s Special Representative for Climate, in London on Thursday and discussed the issues.
Bangladesh High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Ambassador Muhammad Abdul Muhith was also present at the meeting.
