The leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and concerted effort of the people will help turn Bangladesh into a ‘Sonar Bangla’ as envisioned by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman before 2041, Information Minister Hasan Mahmud said Friday.
Speaking at the inauguration programme of Junior Chamber International Bangladesh’s newly-elected committee at a Dhaka Hotel, he said one must dream to do something for the country.

“You have to dream for the country and the people. Only then, the country will reach its coveted destination,” he said.
Minister Mahmud said Bangladesh was able to become a food-surplus country under Sheikh Hasina’s leadership.

“We’ve successfully tackled the coronavirus with her at the helm. We’ll need the energy of the youth to maintain this unprecedented stream of development,” the minister said.
