During a recent call with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US President Joe Biden raised concerns about the safety and security of people in Bangladesh and the future of its democratic institutions, the White House has confirmed.
John Kirby, the White House National Security Council spokesperson, addressed the media on Wednesday, stating that both leaders "shared concerns" about the recent developments in Bangladesh.
In his post on X, Modi mentioned, "We discussed the situation in Bangladesh and underscored the importance of restoring normalcy and ensuring the safety and security of minorities, especially Hindus, in Bangladesh."
