BNP has failed to appreciate Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s magnanimity shown to its leader Begum Khaleda Zia, the information and broadcasting minister said on Friday.
That’s why the government may have to think about sending Khaleda to jail again, minister Hasan Mahmud said while talking to reporters at Cox’s Bazar airport after arrival on a one-day tour of the beach town.

Hasan reminded BNP that its chairperson Khaleda is a convict and she did not get bail in any court.
"Khaleda's sentence was not commuted. Despite this, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, with her administrative power, has given her the opportunity to stay with her family," the minister added.
He said it seems from BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam’s recent statements that the party has failed to appreciate the prime minister’s generosity.
Now, the government needs to think about whether the PM will reconsider her order and send Khaleda back to jail, he added.
