A local journalist has died after suffering a cardiac arrest when he was waiting in queue to give sample for Covid-19 test at a hospital premises in Bogura on Thursday noon.
He was identified as Wasiur Rahman Ratan, 63, news editor of Dainik Bogura, a local daily.
Family sources said Ratan along with other family members went to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital to get them tested for coronavirus in the morning.
He suffered a cardiac arrest and died on the spot around 12pm.
He worked for Dainik Karatoa and Dainik Muktobarta in his professional life.
