A 13-year-old boy, who used profane language and gave indecent proposals to female employees of the national hotlines, was arrested in Kushtia on Tuesday morning.
Additional SP Khairul Alam of CID’s Cyber Police Centre said the juvenile called various service oriented hotlines and used slangs and gave indecent proposals to female employees.
They tracked the location of the juvenile while investigating a case filed at Banani Police Station under the Digital Security Act and the Pornography Act in March.
The Cyber Police Centre informed Kushtia district police about the juvenile.
Based on the information, police conducted a drive at Fulbaria in Kushtia Municipality in the morning and arrested the juvenile, said Alam.
The arrestee has confessed to his crimes during preliminary interrogation.
