Light to moderate showers are likely to prevail over Bangladesh in the next 24 hours, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said Wednesday.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated places over the country,” according to the Met office regular bulletin.
The low pressure area over the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas has weakened and merged with the monsoon axis. This axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across the northern part of Bangladesh.

One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay. And monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.

However, day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
