Light to moderate rains or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds is likely to occur in parts of Bangladesh on Friday, according to the weather department.
According to the weather bulletin of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), light to moderate rains or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna and Barishal divisions, at many places over Chattogram division and at a few places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions, and at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the southern part of Bangladesh.
The well-marked low over Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas weakened into a low pressure area and merged with the monsoon axis. The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal to Assam across central Bangladesh.
One of its associated troughs extends up to the Northwest Bay. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and strong elsewhere over North Bay, as per the bulletin.

The day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 36 degrees Celsius in Sylhet and Syedpur of Rangpur division and the minimum temperature was 23.4 degrees in Kutubdia of Chattogram.

The Bangladesh Metrological Department (BMD) has predicted showers with intense lightning across Bangladesh in 24 hours commending 9am on Monday.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers with intense lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Chattogram division and at one or two places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over northern part of the country,” said a regular Met office bulletin.

Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Day temperatures may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The maximum rainfall has been recorded in Tetulia of Rangpur division at 92 mms, said the bulletin.
Meanwhile, the trough of low extended from Bihar to North Bay across Gangetic West Bengal and Southern part of Bangladesh persists, it added.

A bout of summer rain or thundershowers in the next 24 hours may bring the much-needed relief to people of seven divisions of Bangladesh.
Yes, according to the weather department, rain or thundershower activity is expected to occur at a few places over these seven divisions -- Sylhet, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Dhaka.
According to a Met office bulletin issued on Tuesday morning, showers might occur at a few places over Sylhet division and at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Dhaka.
However, the weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast.

Besides, a mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Faridpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Jashore, Chuadanga and Kushtia, and it may continue, said the weather office.

The trough of westerly low lies over the sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining areas. The seasonal low lies over the South Bay, according to the forecast.

“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated places over the country,” according to the Met office regular bulletin.
The low pressure area over the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas has weakened and merged with the monsoon axis. This axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across the northern part of Bangladesh.
