Brigadier General Md Anwarul Kabir on Monday officially joined as the new Inspector General of Prisons.
Upon his arrival at the Department of Prisons in the morning, the new IG Prisons was received by acting IG Prisons Colonel Mesbahul Alam Salim, Additional IG Prisons Md Jahangir Kabir and other senior officials.
The government appointed Brigadier General Anwarul Kabir to the top prison post via a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on October 4.
