The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has approved the proposal for liquidation of “Vanguard AML BD Finance Mutual Fund One”, an expired closed-end mutual fund listed on the capital market.
The decision was taken on Tuesday during the 1020th commission meeting presided over by BSEC Chairman Masud Khan, said a press release.
According to the BSEC, the decision to approve the liquidation proposal of Vanguard AML BD Finance Mutual Fund One – managed by asset manager Vanguard Asset Management Limited – was made following an application by the fund's trustee, Bangladesh General Insurance Company PLC, upon the completion of the fund's 10-year tenure.
The commission stated that the total unit capital of the fund is Tk 104.32 crore, with the face value of each unit being Tk 10.
