Since the very beginning of the pandemic, female leaders have stood at the frontlines, as health care workers, caregivers, innovators, community organizers, and as some of the most exemplary and effective national leaders, said a press release.

They have single-handedly proven their potential in contributing to societal welfare amidst the raging COVID-19 crisis. Although there has been significant progress in accepting more women than ever before in cultivating experiences, perspectives, and skills in a professional setting, there are far fewer women as heads of states globally even today.
Furthermore, the pandemic has caused domestic violence to increase in the past few months, leading to women facing abuse, unpaid care duties, and unemployment worldwide.

By bringing over 500 youth to participate in the webinar, BYLC hopes to celebrate the many
ways that female leaders have contributed in ending the pandemic, as well as enforcing
the essence of creating a sustained gender equality bias.
