The Cabinet Committee on Public Procurement on Tuesday approved a proposal to procure 10.69 crore units of Anti-TB Drug (2FDC) under an open tender method.
The proposal was placed by the Health Services Division at a meeting of Cabinet Committee on Public Procurement held at Secretariat with Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury in the chair.
Under the proposal, a total of 10,69,80,000 units of Anti-TB Drug (2FDC) will be procured at a cost of Tk 74.35 crore.

According to the decision taken at the meeting, the committee recommended awarding the contract to Renata PLC.
Officials said the procurement is aimed at ensuring an uninterrupted supply of anti-tuberculosis medicines under the government’s TB control programme.
