Humanitarian aid was distributed among the low-income people under the arrangement of BAF Base Bir Sreshto Matiur Rahman in Jashore, BAF Base Paharkanchanpur in Tangail and BAF Station Shamshernagar in Moulvibazar, said Director Inter Service Public Relation Directorate Lt Col Abdullah Ibne Jayed.
This humanitarian assistance was provided by BAF officers while maintaining social distance.
The BAF has always been providing assistance in dealing with any kind of national crisis and carrying out various activities following the policy published by the government to prevent coronavirus outbreak.
Millions of low-income people, who depend on the daily income, were left without jobs after the government announced general holidays to curb the transmission of novel coronavirus.

The government has undertaken a number of schemes to help the poor during the pandemic but many people say they are yet to receive any aid.
The Armed forces, law enforcement agencies, political, social and volunteer organisations as well as individuals have come forward to stand by the helpless people.

Confirmed coronavirus cases in Bangladesh reached 14,657 on Sunday after the health authorities announced the detection of 887 new patients. In the past 24 hours, the country recorded deaths of 14 coronavirus patients, bringing the death toll to 228.
