The circular, issued by the Banking Regulation and Policy Department (BRPD) on Wednesday, said bankers will be paid the amount within 15 days of getting infected and provided full medical treatment expense by the concerned bank.
It said the amount of insurance and special grant will be provided to the victim’s family in accordance with the position of the bankers.

BB said the amount of insurance and special grant will not be adjusted with any other dues of the bankers and other remunerations and facilities will be provided to bankers as per the existing rules and regulations of the bank.
The central bank also mentioned that if any banker is to be victim of any accident while on duty during the general holidays declared by the government to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the concerned bank will bear the expense.
It said the special financial benefit will be applicable for bankers even after 30 days of the end of general holidays.
The central bank said some of the banking staff have been infected with Covid-19 during discharging their duties with keeping their families in risk.
