During the same period 22 more patients died from COVID-19, raising the death toll to 672.

Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana came up with the disclosure at its daily health bulletin.
In the last 24 hours, 52 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country tested 11,439 samples, she added. “So far 320,369 tests have been carried out.”

The detection rate of new patients on Monday has been recorded at 20.81 percent.
Across the country 816 more patients made recovery, she said adding that so far 9,781 people have recovered from the disease.

Against the total number of detected cases, the recovery rate is 21.39 percent and the mortality rate is 1.36 percent in country.

Among the deceased, 19 were male and three were female. “Their age-based analysis says one was aged between 21 and 30 years, eight were aged between 41 and 50 years, four between 51 and 60, seven between 61 and 70 and two more between 71 and 80 years,” Dr Nasima said.
Among the deceased, 11 died in Dhaka division, eight in Chattogram division, two in Sylhet division and another in Barishal division.
“Fifteen patients died at hospitals across the country, six died at home while another was declared dead upon arrival at a hospital,” she added.

Across the country, 449 more people were taken to isolation in the last 24 hours while 222 were released. Currently 6,021 people are in isolation.
During the same period, another 2,707 people were home and institutionally quarantined and 3,752 were released. At present 59,136 people are in quarantine across the country.
