Fisheries and Livestock Ministry’s Public Relations Officer Iftekhar Hossain was diagnosed with coronavirus on Thursday.

He informed UNB about the development over phone.

Meanwhile, the number of confirmed cases in Bangladesh rose to 40,321 with the detection of 2,029 new cases in the last 24 hours. During this period, 15 more patients died, taking the death tally to 559.
