The caseload in Bangladesh crossed 3,50,000 in 197 days after having detected the first three cases on March 8 last.
Meanwhile, 40 more deaths were reported across the country alongside 2,152 recoveries from Covid-19 in 24 hours till this morning.
So far, 4,979 people have died due to the deadly disease, according to an official release sent by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Besides, the daily infection rate in Bangladesh moved to 13.02 percent during the period as the new patients were detected after the test of 13,053 samples in 99 RT-PCR labs. The mortality rate in Bangladesh is 1.42 percent.
Among the 18,34,323 tested population, 19.11 percent have turned out Covid-19 positive.
The recovery rate from Covid-19 reached 73.79 percent and the number of total recoveries rose to 2,58,717 till Monday morning.
Currently, there are 87,925 active cases in the country. Bangladesh is seeing 2058.77 infections, 1,519.13 recoveries per million while 29.24 are dying against the same number.
Since March 18, the release said, 3,873 men and 1,106 women have died of the disease in Bangladesh.
Twenty out of 40 new victims are aged above 60 years and 10 others are aged between 51 and 60.
So far, 2,449 people have died in Dhaka division, 1,035 in Chattoram, 331 in Rajshahi, 417 in Khulna, 185 in Barishal, 221 in Sylhet, 234 in Rangpur and 107 have died in Mymensingh divisions.
Across the country, 16,402 people are now in isolation and 46,904 in quarantine.
In Bangladesh, the first three cases of coronavirus infection were detected on March 8 and it crossed 3,00,000 on August 26.
On July 2, a total of 4,019 Covid-19 patients were identified in the country which was the highest in a single day.
Global Situation
India on Monday registered nearly 87,000 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours and 1,130 deaths.
With its Health Ministry’s announcement, India now has more than 5.4 million reported cases since the pandemic began, reports AP.
India’s coronavirus caseload is expected to surpass that of the United States, currently with the most reported cases, within weeks.
India's total deaths in the pandemic now stand at 87,882.

More than 60 percent of the active cases are concentrated in five out of 28 Indian states -- Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.
Despite the steady increase in cases, the Indian government has continued to relax virus restrictions in order to help an economy that contracted 24 percent in the second quarter.
On Monday, the iconic Taj Mahal was reopened after a six-month closure, the longest in its history.
There will be some restrictions such as compulsory mask-wearing, thermal screening of visitors and physical distancing at the monument.
Data compiled by the Johns Hopkins University put the number of globally confirmed cases at 31,032,045 with 960,729 deaths.
Coronavirus cases were first reported in China in December last year. The World Health Organization declared the crisis a pandemic in March.
There is currently no vaccine for coronavirus but a number of promising candidates are in the final stage of trial.
