Another man died while going to a shelter during a storm caused by Cyclone Remal. The incident occurred in Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira district on Sunday evening.
The victim was identified as Shawkot Hossain Morol, 65. He was a resident of Napitkhali village under Gabura union of the upazila.
Cyclone Remal makes landfall on Bangladesh coast
Masudul Alam, chairman of Gabura Union Parishad, said Shawkot was going to the shelter around 7:30 pm on his bicycle. He slipped and fell on the road and died on the spot.
Locals suspected that Shawkot might have died from a heart attack as there were no injury marks on his body, added the chairman.

Earlier on Sunday afternoon, a 24-year-old youth was found dead, an hour after he was swept away in a tidal surge caused by Cyclone Remal in Patuakhali’s Kalapara upazila.
The deceased, Sharif, was on his way to a cyclone shelter with his sister and aunt.
