The Daily Times of Bangladesh is set to relaunch its print edition on Monday, reaffirming its commitment to independent and objective journalism.
The English-language broadsheet returns with a refreshed look, featuring a new logo and the tagline “Window to the World.” The newspaper aims to deliver comprehensive coverage of both national and international affairs, with a focus on credible, balanced reporting.
In a bold move, the newspaper has declared its editorial independence, ensuring news content is determined solely by its editorial team, free from political, commercial, or ownership influence.
This marks a departure from traditional media practices in Bangladesh, Daily Times of Bangladesh said in a press release on Sunday.
"This editorial independence is integral to our mission," said editorial board member M Abul Kalam Azad. "In the current pre-election climate, media faces censorship, intimidation, and external pressures. We are committed to reporting with integrity and objectivity, guided solely by journalistic principles."
The Daily Times of Bangladesh will cover a wide range of topics, including politics, business, healthcare, crime, technology, and culture.
The newspaper will be available in both print and digital formats, including an easily accessible e-paper, ensuring readers stay connected to the news at all times.
The Daily Times of Bangladesh aims to become a trusted source of information, blending hard news with lifestyle segments.
