A fire that broke out at a light factory warehouse at Konapara of Matuail in Demra on Thursday afternoon was brought under control by firefighters after several hours of frantic efforts.
The fire occurred at 4:50pm, said Lima Khanam, the duty officer of Fire Service control room.

Thirteen units of firefighters worked for five hours before the fire was contained.
Neither the cause of the fire, nor the extent of damage could be known immediately.
