The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 1,975 cases for traffic law violation during drives conducted in different parts of the capital.
The drives were conducted by eight traffic divisions of DMP on Saturday, said Talebur Rahman, DC (Media) of the DMP on Sunday.
Besides, 55 vehicles were impounded and 58 others were towed during the drives.
It also announced that such operations will continue to ensure traffic discipline across the Dhaka metropolitan area.
