“It’ll have to attain sustainable development in Eurasia region through strengthening cooperation. So, sharing of experiences alongside economic, cultural and technical cooperation is essential in this region,” she said.
Dr Shirin was addressing the 4th meeting of Speakers of the Eurasian Countries Parliaments in Kazakhstan, said a parliament secretariat handout here.
The two-day conference with the theme ‘Greater Eurasia; Dialogue, Trust and Partnership’ concluded on Tuesday in Nur-Sultan, the capital city of Kazakhstan.
Representatives from 65 Eurasian countries and 12 international and inter-parliamentary organisations attended the conference.
About Bangladesh, Dr Shirin said Bangladesh is marching fast under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Turning to Rohingya crisis, she called upon the international community to come forward to take effective measures for a peaceful solution to the problem.
Dr Shirin requested international organisations to exert continuous pressure on Myanmar to create conducive environment in Rakhine state for the peaceful repatriation of Rohingyas.
