Confirming it, DU Vice-chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman told UNB that the incident was not a question paper leak, but the probe committee was formed to investigate whether there was any digital forgery or not.
The committee will be healed by Pro-VC Prof Mohammad Samad while two other members of the body are Biology Faculty dean Prof Emdadul Hoque and assistant Proctor Maksudur Rahman.
The committee was asked to submit the report within 48 hours.
Fourteen images of handwritten question papers of Dhaka University’s ‘Gha’ unit entry test were spread out on social media around 9:17 am on Friday, 43 minutes prior to the exam begins.
After scrutinising the images and the original question paper provided at the exam halls, it was found that 72 MCQ questions (19 in Bengali, 17 in English and 36 in general knowledge section) were matched.
