Welcoming the new ambassadors, President Hamid said Bangladesh has excellent relations with Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Egypt.
He said Bangladesh gives priority to improving relations with all countries.
The President hoped that the new ambassadors would take the existing bilateral relations with Bangladesh to a new height during their tenure.
He said in the current context, besides diplomatic relations, expansion of bilateral and multilateral trade and investment is very important.
He said Bangladesh produces various world-class products including readymade garments, medicines, ceramics, jute and jute products.
The President called upon Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Egypt to increase the import of these products from Bangladesh and increase investment in various sectors of Bangladesh including energy, connectivity and infrastructure.
Noting that the world is in dire straits due to coronavirus, the President said all countries, including the United Nations and international organisations, should take initiatives to ensure that all countries get the corona vaccine at the same time.
The President called upon all countries, the United Nations and international organisations, to take concerted action against Coronavirus.
During the meeting, the new ambassadors of Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Egypt said that they would continue their efforts to strengthen the existing ties between Bangladesh and their respective countries.
They sought the full cooperation of the President in discharging their duties.
They also lauded various initiatives taken by the government to tackle Coronavirus and continue the development and progress of the country.
Secretary to the President's Office Sampad Barua, Military Secretary Major General SM Shamim-Uz-Zaman, Press Secretary Joynal Abedin and Secretary (attached) Wahidul Islam Khan were present on the occasion.
Earlie, on their arrival at Bangabhaban, the new envoys were given guard of honour separately by a contingent of the President's Guard Regiment.
