A team of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), which is looking into the murder case, found the glass in a wall cabinet of the principal’s office on the first floor of the building around 4pm, said Shah Alam, a PBI inspector and investigation officer of the murder case.
He said the glass was recovered following information gleaned from accused Shahadat Hossain Shamim, Jabed Hossain and Jubayer Ahmed during remand.
Based on the information, the PBI team along with the trio conducted the drive at the principal’s office, the IO said.
Additional Superintendent of PBI Moniruzzaman, Inspector Md Monayem Hossain, Inspector Lutfur Rahman and other administration officials were present during the drive.
Nusrat Jahan Rafi was set on fire on April 6 at an Alim examination centre allegedly for refusing to withdraw a sexual harassment case against her principal.
She died on April 10 at Dhaka Medical College Hospital in the capital.
The arsonists carried Kerosene in a polythene bag to the madrasa building and put it in the glass before spraying on Nusrat’s body.
