The government on Wednesday formed two separate adviser-level committees to address allegations of irregularities in the appointment of deputy commissioners (DC) and to ensure proper treatment for those injured during the recent student movement.
The cabinet division issued separate notifications regarding these committees.
Investigation committee formed over Khagrachhari violence; 2 cases filed
Each committee will consist of two members and one convener. According to the notifications, the committee focused on DC appointment irregularities will be led by the law adviser, while the health adviser will head the committee responsible for overseeing the treatment of the injured.
The other members of the two committees will include the home adviser, the information and broadcasting adviser, and the youth and sports adviser. The information and broadcasting adviser will serve on both committees.

Members of the committees may co-opt additional personnel as needed, according to the notifications. Committee meetings will be convened as necessary.
