The government on Thursday sent two police officials into forced retirement.
They are APBN-6 Commander (SP ranked) Mohammad Abdur Rahim who was posted at Mahalchhari in Khagrachari and Additional Deputy Inspector General (CID) Sheikh Omar Faruque .
The Public Security Division of the Home Ministry issued a circular in this regard.
However, the exact reason for such a decision was not mentioned in the notification.
Sheikh Omar Faruque of CID was supervising the cases against actress Pori Moni, models Fariha Mahbub Piasha, Mou and a few others.
According to the circular, they were retired from government service in public interest -- as per the provisions of Section 45 of Government Service 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018) -- as they have completed 25 years of service.
