The government has once again extended the deadline for hajj registration until April 30 considering the outbreak of coronavirus.
The Religious Affairs Ministry issued a notice on Thursday in this regard.
With this, the registration deadline has extended thrice.
On March 25, the government extended the deadline for the first for hajj registration until April 8 following the coronavirus outbreak.
Later on April 8, the deadline for hajj registration was extended again until April 16.
The hajj registration started in the country on March 2.
Earlier on February 24, the Cabinet approved the draft Hajj Package-2020, fixing the minimum cost for an intending pilgrim at Tk 3.15 lakh under package-3 managed by the government.
This year, 137,198 people are scheduled go to Saudi Arabia to perform hajj -- 17,198 of them under government management.
