The hanging body of a female student was recovered from her house in Nandigram upazila of the district on Thursday, police said. She was a student of Grade IX.
The 15-year-old Rokeya Khatun was the daughter of Abdur Rahman of Mirzapur village under Bhatara union of the upazila and a student of a local high school.
Locals and police said her mother and sister-in-law on Wednesday went to a relative's house leaving behind Rokeya and her father at the house.

The father went out of the house in the morning on his job and spotted the body hanging from a pole with her scarf when he returned home at noon, they said.
Mostafizur Rahman, in-charge of Kumida Panditpukur investigation centre, said the body was sent to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy after the recovery.
An unnatural death case was filed in this regard, the police officer added.
