The Bangladesh Indenting Agents’ Association (BIAA), in cooperation with Insaf Barakah Kidney and General Hospital, on Saturday organised a free medical camp for its members and their family members on Saturday.

The camp offered free diabetes and kidney tests along with medical consultation and advice.

BIAA President Bahalul Mansur inaugurated the camp at a ceremony held.

Insaf Barakah Kidney and General Hospital Additional Managing Director Md. Altaf Hossain, former BIAA president Md. Nuruzzaman, and incumbent BIAA directors Kazi Shah Alam, Md Jashim Uddin, Al Mahmud Moinul Haque, Shohrab Hossain Sumon and Mohd. Akhtaruzzaman, among others, were present at the inaugural ceremony.

The medical tests conducted at the camp included serum creatinine and random blood sugar (RBS), along with CUS, to assess the health conditions of the participants.

Speaking at the inauguration, BIAA President Bahalul Mansur said the medical camp was the first such initiative undertaken by the association for its members and their families.

Health awareness is very important, particularly for detecting kidney and diabetes-related complications at an early stage, he said.

Bahalul Mansur said the association would organise many more similar programmes for the members.

According to BIAA, around 100 people received free medical tests and consultations at the camp.

Insaf Barakah Kidney and General Hospital Additional Managing Director Md. Altaf Hossain stressed the need for greater health awareness among people and appreciated the BIAA initiative to provide medical services to its members and their families.

He said cooperation between BIAA and Insaf Barakah Kidney and General Hospital would be expanded in the coming days, creating more opportunities for members of the association and their families to receive healthcare services.

The organisers said the initiative was aimed at encouraging regular health check-ups and creating greater awareness about diabetes and kidney-related diseases among the BIAA community.
