Dhaka, Oct 17 (UNB) – The International Crimes Tribunal will deliver its verdict any day in a case against war criminal Abdus Sattar alias Tipu Sultan of Rajshahi for his crimes against humanity during the Liberation War.
The three-member tribunal headed by Md Shahinur Islam kept the verdict pending on Thursday after the completion of trial procedure in the case.
Prosecutor Md Mokhlesur Rahman Badal, Sabina Yasmin Khan Munni and Tapash Kanti Bal represented the state while Gazi MH Tamim argued for the accused.
Tipu Sultan along with five others was accused in the case for committing crimes against humanity during the Liberation War. He is the lone alive accused in the case.
Investigation officer Md Helaluddin submitted a 420-page report after investigating the allegations against him on March 27 2018.
