Despite the tough labour, their weekly income barely reaches around Tk 2,500, highlighting the economic hardship that continues to shape the lives of many women in the informal sector.
The workers say they often have to perform their duties without adequate protective equipment, exposing them to serious health risks.
Continuous contact with dust, toxic fumes and chemical residues makes them vulnerable to respiratory and skin-related illnesses.
Driven by the responsibility to support their families, these women return to the factory every day, accepting the risks as part of their struggle for survival.
