The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday issued a detailed rejoinder in response to a report titled "Army Chief faced young officers' discontent in meeting" broadcast by various media outlets on August 19.

This report, which is based solely on an article published in the Indian magazine 'The Week', is misleading and intentionally provocative.

The ISPR thinks it is appropriate to contact them (ISPR) for accurate information regarding internal matters of the army.

In reality, the meeting in question was a routine internal gathering of the Bangladesh Army, conducted in a highly cordial and constructive environment, and concluded successfully, it reads.

Such news that aims to undermine the esteemed image of the Bangladesh Army by spreading false narratives about the patriotism and professionalism of its personnel is both harmful and inappropriate, according to the ISPR.

The Bangladesh Army always expects responsible and factual reporting from the media. Every member of the army upholds a strong commitment and loyalty to the chain of command, continuously proving this through their conduct, it continues.

The Bangladesh Army hopes that media outlets will reflect the viewpoints of all relevant parties and strive to report news with accuracy and integrity in the future.

It is particularly requested that the media refrain from creating confusion among the public based on foreign news outlets' misinformation and avoid unintentionally spreading rumors. The Bangladesh Army remains committed to fully supporting the media in the dissemination of objective and constructive news, the ISPR said.
