Abul Khair, chief reporter of Daily Ittefaq, has been made its president while Lion M Jahangir Alam, senior reporter (Crime Beat) of UNB, senior vice-president, and Shahin Alam, senior reporter of Dainik Sangbad Pratidin, general secretary.
The committee was formed for two years after a discussion meeting here on Saturday, said a press release.

The other office bearers are Kabir Ahmed Khan of BSS (vice president), Sharif Mujib of Voice of America (joint secretary), M Omar Faruk of Swadesh Pratidin (organising secretary), Abu Hena Akhtar Hossain of The Citizen Times (finance secretary), Baten Biplob of Asian TV (office secretary), MM Badsha of BanglaTV (international affairs secretary), Atiqur Rahman of Dainik Jobabdihi (publicity and publication affairs secretary), Kazi Shahidul Alam of Ajkaler Khobor (sports and cultural secretary) and Jelany Milton of Dainik Nayadiganta (social welfare secretary).

The committee members are: Abul Hossain of the News Times, Dipu Sarwar of Ekushey TV, Alauddin Arif of Desh Rupantar, Asaduzzaman Biku of Purbanchal, Deepak Kumar Acharjee of the Independent, Nurul Islam Hasib of the Bangladesh Post, Nadia Sharmeen of Ekattar TV, Antara Biswas of News24 and Rabbi Siddique of Jamuna TV.
The advisors to the committee are Rafiqul Islam Ratan of Swadesh Pratidin, Mollah Amzad of Energy and Power, Faroque Ahmed Talukder of Aajkaler Khabor, Rimon Mahfuz of Sangbad Pratidin, Iqbal Karim Nishan of GTV, Israf Hossain Isha of the daily sun, Mahmud Hafeez (Bhraman Goidhya, and Saiful Islam Montu of Aajkaler Khabor.
