Kamal Ahmed Mojumder, former State Minister for Industries under the Awami League government, has been arrested in connection with a murder case related to the anti-quota reform student movement.
Majumder, who also owns SS Agro Complex and previously served as the Member of Parliament for Dhaka-15 constituency, was picked up from a residence in Gulshan, according to the police.
Mojumder had gone into hiding along with other ministers and parliamentarians after former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left the country on August 5.
