Dilruba Islam, sister of Liberation War Museum's trustee Mofidul Hoque and renowned scholar Monzurul Huq, passed away in the capital early Wednesday. She was 71.
She breathed her last at 2:30 am, Mofidul Haque told UNB.
She was married to the late freedom fighter Sirajul Islam, also a retired official at the Bangladesh Betar.
The namaz-e-janaza of Dilruba Islam will be held on Thursday at the Paribagh Jame Mashjid after the Zohr prayers.
She left behind three sons, her grandchildren and a host to relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death.
